We develop Identities
To make a medical consultation as comfortable as possible – this is probably everybody’s wish. Children and adolescents with psychiatric disorders need a particularly warm and inviting atmosphere where they feel safe and cared for. An atmosphere picking people up where they are, giving their mood a new, positive frame. Our creative vision for the Psychological Practice Britta Binz was to translate these requirements into the communication and interior design of the medical practice. Organic, round forms fit well to the nature and language of children and adolescents. They create sympathy and are very flexible elements of designing. The new logo of the psychological practice reflects this idea perfectly. It doesn’t only mirror the two B in Britta Binz’ initials but symbolizes in the same time the image of the Rorschach psychological test. The handwriting in the claim is the writing of schooldays.
Consistently and with many variants, we developed from the drop form of the initials the whole practice communication: as a speech bubble on the wall over the heads of the children sitting in the waiting room. As an individually designed wallpaper pattern in the meeting area or in the imaginative beings who tell stories on the hallway and act with children. As a fluttering butterfly on the practice website. And not only in the side navigation the drop is found as a continuous graphical element, but also on the business cards, which carry the new practice identity outwards. The warm and inviting environment takes the young people from where they are, giving their moods a new, more positive frame.
Web & Corporate Design
As a fluttering butterfly on the practice website. And not only in the side navigation the drop is found as a continuous graphical element, but also on the business cards, which carry the new practice identity outwards. Organic round forms fit to the children's world, create sympathy and can be used as a multi-varient design element.
Storyboard on the wall: Defeat the dragon!
A mural designed as a storyboard welcomes visitors in a very personal way. With pictures rasterized and stylized as a comic it shows children and adolescents in all kinds of moods and typical poses, young people listening to music or children defeating a dragon. The photos and graphics mix their imaginary with the real world picking them up in their reality. The practice design of Britta Binz is a wonderful example of how one can support with design the communication and transport content which supports the convalescent process.
